Chioma Chukwuka was born on March 12, 1980, she is also known as Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha or Chioma Akpotha) is a Nigerian actress, director, and movie producer. In 2007, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for “Best Actress in a leading role” for her performance in the movie “Sins of the flesh”, and the Afro Hollywood award for best actress in a lead role in 2010.
She hails from Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. She finished her primary education at Onward Nursery and Primary School in Lagos State and then moved forward to Federal Government Girls College in Onitsha, Anambra State for her secondary education. Chioma after secondary school left Anambra for Lagos State University, where she studied Banking and Finance.
She is a wife and mother of two children. Rumour has it that she has been separated from her marriage. Though she hasn’t confirmed it. She has maintained a drama-free life on social media, except for recently being dragged on social media by her colleague and also when she cried out for being attacked in her polling unit during the 2023 presidential election.
